I am sure this has been put out here before but I find myself unclear. I am working on a couple early Ford V-8s. Here is what I know- all engine blocks were unpainted (natural) from 1909-1914 (ish...depends upon assembly plant). They were painted black from 1914 until 1925. In midyear 1925 they began painting them dark green (almost black) and stayed that way for a while. At some point they became blue. The question is, when did that happen? I have seen several 1946-48 era cars with blue engine blocks, but have also seen cars with green blocks. I am not sure what is right. Any help is most appreciated.
Eric
